Meadows Court Care Home : Philosophy of Care
Most of us rightly prefer to stay in our own homes for as long as possible, however there can come a time when the quality of our life deteriorates and the running of our own home becomes too much of a struggle. At this time Residential Care may become an option.
The Reluctance to make the move, the uncertainty of what lies ahead and the fear of the unknown are all genuine and understandable concerns.
At Meadows Court, we aim to provide our residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well being and comfort are of prime importance.
You will be welcomed by a caring and professional staff team who have the expertise and commitment to work closely and openly with you and your family in order to design the best care and support plan.
Our highly trained carers will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in doing so will be sensitive to the residents ever-changing needs. Such needs may be medical /therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social.
Residents are encourage to participate in the development of their individualised residents care plan in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued. This will be achieved through programmes of activities designed to encourage mental alertness, self-esteem, and social interaction with other residents and with recognition of the core values of care, which are fundamental to the philosophy of our home.
All care staff within the home will be appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standard of care. All staff receive ongoing mandatory training as well as a range of other internal and external courses. Staff are encouraged to develop their skills both though training and the achievement of professional qualifications. A continuous staff training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with all the latest developments in care practices, as may be laid down in appropriate legislation, regulations and by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
We offer delicious home cooking with a well-balanced and varied menu using fresh and seasonal local produce, also catering for special dietary requirements.

We encourage all our residents to make their own rooms as homely as possible, and also have any items they wish to bring into the home, but will have to be risk assessed for Health, Safety and Fire.
The friendly, caring ethos at our home epitomises our aim to provide the highest level of care.
We offer long and short term stay, respite and holiday care.
